Hyundai’s latest sedan-Xcent unveiled
Ahead of New Delhi Auto Expo 2014, Hyundai Motors India Ltd (HMIL) launched its latest Grand i10 sedan-Xcent on Tuesday. The new car is expected to strongly compete with Honda Amaze and Maruti Suzuki DZire. Reportedly, Hyundai Xcent will hit markets in March this year.
HMIL CEO BS SEO said that the car being a world class product is developed keeping Indian market in mind. He also added that Xcent is the symbol of companyâs commitment to customers to provide high quality of standards. The petrol variant of the car would be available in manual as well as automatic transmission whereas diesel variant would have 5-speed manual transmission. Just like i10, this latest machine is available in 1.2 litre and 1.1 litre engine models.
Talking about the design, the length of the car as reports say, is about 4 meters with a handsome and tough look. It has round fog lamps and stylish alloy wheels. The inside design is much similar to the Grand i10 model along with its features. It has rear AC vents for perfect and quick cooling, push start and stop allowing keyless entry, automatic foldable electric OVRMs, cooled glove box and steering mounted controls with Bluetooth. Considering safety, the top end model Xcent will have ABS, dual airbags and rear parking assist. This is one of the four models, company is planning to launch in a couple of years. Only time will tell how Hyundai Xcent would affect the auto market.
