Project Abstract / Summary : In today’s life on line shopping is boosted to purchase goods and services, due to a instant progress of electronic commerce. The progress is a big invention for the efficiency, availability and profitability point of view but it also has some downsides. Economic fraud is increasing much with the change of modern technology and the worldwide superhighways of communication. Use of credit card in electronic commerce will be the most easy way to do on line shopping, paying bills etc . By way of the use of credit card increases in the last few years, rate of illegal practices is also increasing every day. Credit card fraud has become a serious problem throughout the world. It is challenging to find out fraudulent and concerning loses will be restricted by issuing authorities. It is necessary to implement fraud detection systems for all credit card users, banks and organizations to diminish their losses. There are so many techniques are already implemented and proposed having their own pros and cons. We proposed hybrid approach for credit card fraud detection system.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : Since , we are interested in security domain. And also, today’s Technology use is rapidly increases. The use of credit card is not new in the on line market. The internet becomes most popular mode of shopping using on line transactions. It provides us facilities like e-commerce using credit card, debit card and internet banking.
