    hi,
    i have a project idea, but i don't know how to implement it.. so, please share your ideas..
    my proj is: 2 desktop pcs are kept and 1 PC have the software and the other doesn't have..
    but that PC which doesn't have the software should open the file format of that software.
    for example: let the software be MS.word and the doc should be opened in the other PC, how can i implement this?? is this already done??
    i think it can be implemented with the help of client server application, but how???

    Maybe you could simply create a remote desktop like application that will allow you to login to another PC through a window and the open any application on that PC.

    pavi123, you should first try writing code for sequential and random files before you go up the ladder to using any proprietary format.
