How to find magic number of a file in disk?

We can even change the extension of the file. But, to find the original extension of the file, We need magic number associated with the file. I don;t know the way to find the magic number.How to find that?

    I found this term in one tutorial. From the Google search I found that, it is used to identify specific format of the file. So, Now I am waiting for CEans suggestions.

    PS: I know CE don't support ready made...
