There's a MBA course in telecommunications management in IIT Mumbai. It's only for engineers and the selection is done through JME test.

I dont know much about the course, but this course is very specialised and tailor made for telecom systems management, and so, if you are interested, take a look at IIT-B website.

And as to how an MBA generally helps an engineer, well if you go for an engineering oriented profession, MBA does not really matter. But if you go for a management position, even in engineering based companies, then MBA is a must.
ie, MBA is for making a manager out of you, and generally, engineers with an analytical mind, are more suited as managers too. That's why most MBA's are engineers in the first place.

Frankly speaking, it may or may not be of help to you. The answer depends on what your goals are. There is no point in blindly following MBA or MS.

MS takes you on a technical path.
MBA takes you on the management path.

What are your expectations from your career?

    Hi Umara

I guess it's a kind of mis conception what every one has that girls take up MBA and not techincal stuff. Any ways

What do YOU want to be?
a techincal person or a business woman?
    Its all on you .

I am not sure of courses what are offered,
If you are plannign to enroll for MS, then you might as well have a choice of opting a couple of mangeement courses which might help you in long run.
But its finally you who should be deciding

    umara,

Why this discrimination? Who says girls can't make it into technical field? Even the first computer was designed by a lady engineer.

Well, if you're being told that girls can't go for MS as it's not suitable - I guess you have a wonderful opportunity to prove everyone wrong! Be a crazy engineer and tell them how it's done, and done wonderfully.

It's ok to be confused. Nothing is wrong with it. You should take a look at an existing discussion about The Great MBA/MS/MTech dilemma. MBA/MS are the ways to reach your destination - not the destinations themselves. You'll have to figure out what you want from your career and you'll have a clear mind about MBA or MS.

It's easy, give it a try.
