    Unfortunately, there is no way to change user ID on CE Forums.

    I had noticed that too,,it would have been nice if,we could add a pet name or something alike, along with the user id and use it as our display name,...

    There is a provision to display your real name. I don't see any point in having a separate user id and a Pet/Display name.
