Honda Insight Restricts CO2 Emissions At Frankfurt

The Japanese automaker 'Honda' is building hope on concept of bagging a tag of Green vehicle at this month's Frankfurt Auto show. With the unveiling of its Honda Insight in auto show, it is evident that the auto giant has nothing but upgraded its previous version of car. With the new Eco-friendly technology, it will offer a tough resistance to Toyota's Prius.

Honda had kept its strategies a secret this time and had released just a single image before the German event began. However if we take a closer look at the car, it is not only that the specific fuel consumption is reduced but in achieving that the company has gone all the way for having some basic modifications in its drive train. The car now has a reduced carbon foot print of 105 to 96 grams per Kilometer. This is an indicator of a superior fuel injection system coupled with the engine. Unlike the other automakers, the car may not have a new spark ignition system. However, the car definitely has redesigned it to have optimized valve timing.
As compared to its predecessor, the company has face lifted to make it even more aerodynamic. The front panel now looks completely different from the earlier version. The company has also given a thought to the climate control system. The Honda Insight hence features a better thermal isolation. Perhaps we can expect the hybrid to be in the range of commoners like the earlier one. We believe that the torque and engine power will be upgraded. Presently it is 98 HP with its 1.3 liter 4 cylinder engine which generates 128 lb-ft of torque. Honda has still not released any technical details about the vehicle and we will perhaps have to wait for them for a couple days more.
