Help compose the CE Song. Suggest lyrics!

No, get that "twinkle twinkle little star" tune out of your head. The CE song is serious business! 😉 So, whats the deal with this? The CE Song will be about something engineering. At the moment, the theme is: the engineer, and his/her contributions to the world. We first need lyrics from you CEans! It's up to you whether you want to write out the whole song, a stanza (a paragraph of it), or just a line. Every little bit helps 😀 Try to stick to the theme. Get those creative juices flowing. Its also a good avenue to try out your poetry skills 😉 Be proud to be an engineer, CEans!

While composing the drum beats, I just realized we haven't decided on the genre of the song 😛 Rock? Pop? Techno? Funk? Hip Hop?

The last time I help composed a song was back in high school, and we never really had a structure to follow (usually its just playing random things until we stuck on something we liked). I hope you guys know better (especially Gohm and Biggie)! I'm thinking we could use the following terms:

Intro
Bridge
Verse
Chorus
Riff

Then organize them in a structure we want.

[EDIT]
I suggest we create a place to host our music output files. How about creating a new Google Site on the CE network domain? At least the files will be centralized. We could call it CE Studios (which Biggie used before), for all our media efforts.

I think some sort of structure will help in composing the music? Like, the drum patterns will depend on the part of the song (eg bridge, verse or riff) 😛 I certainly don't want to have the same beat throughout! Likewise with the chords you'd want to use for your guitar.

Suggestion for a genre? If I had my way, I'd do techno/rap.. so you guys better suggest something more appropriate 😉

I'm not a song writer, so I was wondering.. does it make sense to use verbose kind of words? Or should words that are easy on the ears take priority? Or.. does it not matter as long as it fits with the tempo of the music?

It didn't matched so I flipped it over. 😁

for me the words that suit your ear are best rather than making them correct(just like ash said), this habit came to me due to rock music some times you get words that just sound awesome but don't mean anything. 😁

we can start off immediately and make an awesome song by the 5th anniversary 😀 guys who know to play instruments initiate. 😀 getting hold of people who can sing will not be tough.
