Happy Birthday Facebook Like!

Facebook Like button is truly ubiquitous. We hope you didn't miss out on our post about '#-Link-Snipped-#'. The FB Like button was introduced by Facebook at the F8 Developer Conference. Open graph and instant personalization were also introduced along with the Like button. Ever since its launch, FB Like button has seen tremendous success. In the first week itself, the button was adopted by over 50k websites and over 100k websites in less than a month.

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg said that the Like button is adopted by 10k+ websites every day. Over 2.5 million websites, including CrazyEngineers have integrated the Like button on the site for easy sharing of content among Facebook users. With the growing popularity of the Like button, Google was forced to launch the +1 button recently. A study even shows that the each 'Like' is more valuable and profitable than every tweet.
