Google News US Edition Gets Real Time & Google+ Relevant Updates

Google News US Edition just got better. It has got a few new features that will get news to its users in a more efficient way. The new features include bigger sized images, realtime coverage option that bubbles up the newest articles and the news relevant to you on the basis of your Google+ profile. So, now you have the full coverage page added with "Realtime Coverage" and "Highly Cited" sections. All this means that you get the news at the instant Google fetches it.

In an ardent attempt to popularize Google+, the Google News team has come up with an idea to add a discussions feature to its pages. So now, the users logged in to Google+ will see both the homepage and the realtime coverage pages updated with what people in their circles have to say about a breaking news. Users can even contribute to the discussions then and there.

Google is delivering all these updates only to those who are reading the US edition news and those who have signed in and upgraded to Google+. This is being rolled out over the next week, so don't worry if you don't see them immediately. You can as well opt out of the Google+ integration via the Google News settings page, if you don't really care about what other people have to say about the news
