GmailValet - Convert Your Inbox Into A Simple To-Do List

Life isn't fair, too many mails, too less time! People are too busy to check all the emails in their inbox and sometimes they miss out on the important ones. If you are one of those, then researchers at Standford University, California have developed a new crowd-source based system to help you change your messy inbox in a simple to-do list.
GmailValet connects your Gmail account with oDesk, which is a crowd-labour web platform and uses skilled workforce. Once the workers have access to your Gmail account, they examine the mails, extract important ones and convert them into a to-do list, just like your personal assistant would do it for you. You can also provide feedback so that the system can learn about your interests. While testing, the workers were paid minimum wage of $8 per hour. The idea is that a single worker can manage multiple accounts so that the end users will have to pay as little as $1.80 per day.

Obviously, this all looks great, but what about privacy? Well, you have got filters for that. You can choose which messages you want the system to read and which one are your personal. According to study, people who worked with assistants had a task completion rate to 60 percent compared to less than 30 percent for those who create their own to-do list. The system does sound interesting and you can try it out for free at #-Link-Snipped-#.
