  • Gionee Mobile India has launched a new phablet in its GPad series called the Gionee GPad G3. Based in Delhi, Gionee is a company that has been steadily launching new smartphones and phablets over the year. It's latest phablet - The Gionee GPad 3 has now been made available for buying on SnapDeal, an online e-commerce site at a price of Rs. 9,699. As we take a look a the tech specs chart of the new gadget, we find a 5.5-inch (854 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU. The phablet runs over a latest copy of Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system and supports Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby.

    As you dig deeper into the Gionee GPad G3 features, you find a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with LED Flash and 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing one. The phone's dimensions measure up to 157.3 x 79.3 x 9.6mm and is 9.6mm thick. For connectivity, the phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and aGPS. Coming to the storage - there's 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal memory and expandable memory up to 32 GB. The phone comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and users can play FM Radio on it. The phone derives its power from a 2250 mAh battery.

    The phone comes bundled with a Charger, Headset, Data Cable, Battery, Handset, User Manual and a Warranty Card. It's loaded with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean firmware and a 1.3 GHz dual-core Cortex A7 MediaTek 6572 processor takes care of the computing. The graphics is handled by Mali 400 GPU which works with 512 MB of memory (RAM). The handset sports a uni-body design, and features a 5-inch Gorilla Glass (Class III) display with 441ppi.     I am not sure why, but most tech blogs are reporting that this smartphone is launched today, when it was listed almost a month back in October. Could someone please confirm the same?
