Force Traveller-26 Is World's Only Monocoque Panel Van

Force motors has unveiled the Traveller-26, world's only monocoque panel van. Monocoque is a construction technique that allows the vehicle to support the load using external skin as against the traditional frame or truss. In this technique the body and the chassis of the automobile remain a single unit. The Traveller-26 is powered by a 129 PS, 295 Nm Common Rail Diesel Engine licensed from Germany's Daimler AG. The vehicle has highest power to weight ratio of 18 kw per tonne as against 12 kw/tonne in most of its rivals. This 26 seater bus is packed with features offered for the first time in its segment.



For the first time in India, this LCV (light commercial vehicle) uses dual mass flywheel technology which allows smoother ride at lower speeds. It has a 5-speed synchromesh gearbox that ensures lower friction and smoother transmission. Engineers at Force motors have made this vehicle 15% more fuel efficient than its peers. The body of Traveller-26 has been made rust proof with cathodic electro deposition dip (C.E.D) painting process. The vehicle is the only one in its class to have ventilated disk brakes on all the four wheels. The Traveller-26 would be an ideal choice as a school bus because it's got several 'firsts' like lowest floor heigh which makes easy entry and exit for school children, lowest CG for stable ride, unmatched seating comfort, ample leg room and full standing height.

The Traveller-26 is available for a price of Rs. 10,87,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
