Ferrari All Wheel Drive SuperCar Created

Ferrari the name itself signifies power and luxury. The top class manufacturer of world renonwened super cars is up again with one of their best car of all time. Ferraris new FF supercar is one master piece that everyone in the world would be dying top have in their garage.

The $300,000 Ferrari FF changes the conventional approach to all wheel drive. Test conducted Italy’s Dolomites, reveals it to be world’s fastest four seater and the first foul weather Ferrari that would keep you on the track even at 208 mph.

The FF’s control over the weather comes from the traditional “4RM” AWD system. This design has been substantially modified. This configuration eliminates several weighty components, making it 50 percent lighter than a typical AWD system, the most important aspect for performance driving. Unlike previous AWD units, the front and rear wheel drive units are separate and controlled electronically, and there’s no long secondary driveshaft to propel a second set of wheels. By removing all these parts and changing the cars mode to seven speed, dual clutch F1 transmission to the rear FF avoids the front heavy handling imbalance of conventional AWD cars.

The FF’s 12 cylinder engine produces 65HP at 8,000 rpm, making it the most powerful Ferrari engine ever. The steering wheel mounted manettino lever toggles among preset drive configurations like Ice/Snow, Wet, Comfort, Sport and ESC Off (this would turn off all the preset controls and the drivers can show their true potential). Based on these settings, the computerized traction control system and electronic rear differential send as much power to the pavement from the 6.3-liter V12 as physical limits will allow but no more, even if you clumsily pound the gas. And when the rear wheels finally threaten to slip, the FF’s Power Transfer Unit diverts torque to either front wheel to keep you on the road.

This gives us the best AWD car of all time. This new approach reveals the true performance of the FERRARI.
