Fed up of "Invitation To Connect On LinkedIn"

When LinkedIn was new, I was an early adopter. I created profile, deleted it and then created again; then forgot about it. Then I wanted to contact a person for business and I thought it would be a great idea to update my profile. Ever since then, I'm totally fed up of the continuous 'Invitation To Connect On LinkedIn" emails. I know I can turn them off and I've; but somehow the mails keep coming!

When I see who's sending those emails, then I see a list of completely unknown people who've nothing to do with me and are clearly adding people because linkedin suggests them that I might be one of the people they know.
