Facebook Security Guidelines Now Explained With Easy To Understand Visuals

Thousands of people use Facebook without really knowing what are their current account settings. Many users are unaware about what their privacy & security settings mean and how they control the content they share on the social networking site. With a site that has so many features, users generally ignore or are reluctant to sit and understand their account's settings are often land in trouble when things don't turn out as they are expected. Therefore, back in November 2014, Facebook set up a tutorial website called Facebook Privacy Basics that let users know how and where to find their account settings, and more importantly their privacy controls. With such a dedicated #-Link-Snipped-#, that's visually simple, thousands of Facebook users became aware of what Facebook's what posts Facebook friends can see, how they interact with you etc. It turns out that Melissa Luu-Van, a Product Manager at Facebook, recently shared an update via Facebook Newsroom stating that now Facebook's Security Guidelines are being explained in the same way.

The Facebook Privacy Basics has now received a brand new addition with the arrival of 11 different interactive guides that explain how various privacy and security settings on Facebook work. Facebook believes that in this way, many users can successfully keep information compromising attacks at bay. The various guides include information about how can one create a more secure password, what to do if someone hacks your account, how to find if someone else is accessing your account, how can Facebook friends help in recovering a lost password, how to report spam content and so on. To really be able to reach out the masses, Facebook has made these security guides available in 40 languages and the site has been designed to look good on your smartphone, desktop or tablet.
