Facebook Page 'Send An Update' Feature Disabled Since 30th September 2011

Facebook page owners had an option under Resources section, that was named 'send an update', which could be used to send a message to the 2nd inbox of the page followers or the people who had liked the page.

Facebook disabled this feature from 30th September 2011 because it found out from surveys that almost nobody opened these messages. 😛

So, basically Facebook doesn't want page owners to waste their time sending updates.
