Eye Mario By Waterloo Labs

Waterloo labs surely got few of the Craziest Engineers in Texas. The group operates from Texas and posts awesome Do It Yourself (DIY) videos. These bunch of engineers from the 'National Instruments' have earlier shown us how to drive your car with iPhone and now come up with something totally cool - the Eye Mario.

Eye Mario lets you play the famous Mario Game with your eyes. To make the Mario move, all you have to do is look up, down, left and right. You may also blink your eyes.

What the system does is measure the electric voltage changes associated with your eye movements. Then it references it with the voltage measured by another electrode at the back of your ear. The change in voltages is then translated into signals for the gaming console.  Take a look at following video -

If you wish to dig deeper and want to know how this works, take a look at following tutorial -

I believe systems like Microsoft's Kinnect can very well utilize these ideas and incorporate them in the next versions of gaming consoles.

Well done, #-Link-Snipped-#!
