  The only difference of briefcase and folder is that briefcase use two way synchronization technology.It means if you have data in computer and also in also same in pen drive then by synchronization we updating the data both side so that they match each other again .

  Briefcase is used to sync data between two computers on a network, as well as using removable media . Also u cannot create new items inside a briefcase whereas, in a folder u can😁 , Also u can have folders inside folders, but not briefcases inside briefcases!!

  Sorry but where to find privacy settings on a Briefcase.
  Through right click on it here is only general settings i found.
