DCS Engineer - UK, Staffordshire. Long term contract. Negotiable rates. 01925 235612

The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

We are looking for a number of DCS Engineers with Oil & Gas project experience for long term assignment with our client.

This will be based from our client's Cambridgeshire office with the potential of offshore and overseas assignments. Work will be with the ABB product family. Relevant training in ABB products, and / or a strong background in Functional Safety is preferred.

Applications invited from Engineers with the following systems experience:
- AC800M - 800xa would be a distinct advantage
- Bailey - INFI90
- ABB Advant AC450, Masterpiece & Safeguard Nodes
- Safety experienced engineers

Applications from other systems vendors would also be welcomed.

- HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
- Specific experience of DCS and/or Integrated Safety Systems
- Configuring, writing and testing abilities desirable
- Solid understanding of both Hardware and Software issues associated with systems coupled with a proven ability to successfully work within a team orientated environment.
- Previous Oil and Gas projects experience will be advantageous
