Datsun GO+ MPV Features Revealed At The Auto Expo 2014 In India
Datsun is one of the most important brands from Nissan Motor Company. At the Delhi Auto Expo 2014 in India, the company has unveiled its brand new MPV called Datsun Go+, an elder brother to Datsun GO which was launched last year. Datsun Go+ has been a major attraction for the visitors at this year's Expo. Developed as a comfortable and cozy family lounge, the car's design features a strong shoulder line and a dynamic silhouette. The clean body styling makes it a crowd standout. Just like the GO Hatchback which was based on the Nissan Micra’s V Platform, the Datsun Go+ packs inside it a three-cylinder 1.2-liter petrol engine. This five door 5+2 seater vehicle features 5 speed manual transmission and churns out a power of 68bhp and 104Nm of torque. The MPV has really good amount of interior space and the third row of seats can be removed to make space for carrying your luggage. The specifications shared on the official site speak of the length as 3,995mm, Width as 1,635mm, Height as 1,485mm and the wheelbase as 2,450mm. In the interiors, you will find up front bench seats, a Mobile Docking station (to integrate smartphones) and a dashboard-mounted gearshift lever.

Manufacturing of this MPV is going to take place at Nissan’s Oragadam plant in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The car is said to go on sale in India through Nissan's dealerships by the end of this year. As Nissan Datsun GO launches next month in India, there's a lot of months to go before we figure out the official price in India for Datsun GO+. In Indonesia, Datsun is priced at under 100 million Indonesian rupiah (approximately INR 5.50 lakh). Once on the road, the hatchback might be in competition Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy and Maruti Ertiga among others.
