    I am fix, so as to what can be used for transmitting power at 12000 rpm, whether to use V-belts or chains? which one would be more efficient for transmitting power at this rpm?

    Generally, for high speed and low torque applications belts are used and for high torque applications gears or chain drives are used. This was discussed in a previous thread. Go here to find more infortmation and reading material:

    At 12000 RPM one can have a problem if the belt breaks. Gears may be a safer, though more expensive, option.
