Cognizant Joins Fortune 500 At 484th Position

Since 1955, Fortune magazine compiles & publishes annual list of top 500 American corporations ranked by their gross revenue. The list includes public and privately held companies. The companies listed in this list are popularly known as 'Fortune 500' companies. Cognizant took almost 17 years to reach the Fortune 1000 list and within just 3 years of achieving the milestone, the company now ranks at 484 in Fortune 500 list. Wal-Mart & Exxon Mobile have retained their I & II position in the list.

Cognizant's 2010 revenues were at $4.59 billion which formed the foundation of their listing in Fortune 500 list. Cognizant is a leading IT services company with unique online/offshore global delivery model.
