Re: CE - Ultimate Project Ideas for Robotics - 2009
Its nice work for all ceans thanks for it . Would you tell me something about "SMS based automatic two wheeler locking system" and "SMS controlled pick and place robot" ? I need your help on this topic . So please pay attention in this regard .
Re: CE - Ultimate Project Ideas for Robotics - 2009
First of all thanks to you for providing a such large no. of project topics .
"SMS based automatic two wheeler locking system" sounds good ,can you tell me something about it ?
Re: CE - Ultimate Project Ideas for Robotics - 2009
jhbalaji, thanks for all the project ideas you have contributed 😀
I see lots of projects on CE involving some sort of SMS based control. I think it would be great if we had some sort of general tutorial on getting started with it. I'm pretty sure many CEans will benefit from this.

jhbalaji
Thanks...

Hi balaji,
I need to implement the fully automated car project.Kindly reply me whats the formulaties to proceed further.Waiting for your favorite reply.
fully automated car means .driving, inspection, automatic setting (lighting,A/C on/off)...etc
for this you need well knowledge in Artificial Intelligence
Well most of these can be done using Mpu's and off the shelf SBC's... Robotics in general is a pretty nice field to be in as I'm in the pipeline welding aspects of it and deal with things that has to have temp specs from -40F to 200F.... If anyone wants some help let me know...
Radio Frequency based remote controlled robot with wireless video camera mounted on it.
Autonomous Robot with artificial vision for obstacle detection.
Accelerometer (Gyroscope) Controlled Robot. Accelerometer is mems based 3-axis sensor that can sense the tilt in of the 3-diamentions. The robot moment is controlled based on the tilt angle of the robot. No need to press any buttons for robot control.
Touch Screen Controlled intellegent robot.
Live Human being detection wireless remote controlled Robot. (Useful for detection of terrorists hiding inside buildings).
GSM (SMS) Mobile Phone Controlled Intelligent Robot.
Micro Electro Mechanical Sensor (MEMS) Accelerometer/Gyroscope based self-balancing robot.
Mobile phone controlled four-legged walking robot with speed and direction control.

i choose the above heading! so bro can i have reference about the 'SMS controlled moving robot' ?
it may very usefull to me.
thanks alot!

Hi, i m working on a fully equipped spybot cum all terrain surveillance robo. But i am really facing some trouble in deciding the scheme to mobilize it. I want it to be all terrain by that i mean it can scale an incline of appreciable value(obviously its a prototype so i m not sying it will go up 45 degrees) and also climb stairs. I had earlier thought of using tough treads(tank treads) with two out stretched forks(also of treads) to climb the stairs which is roughly 6 to 7 inches straight rise. But now the problem is that i would be needing 5 motors per wheel(total 4 wheels) to produce the required torque to pull/push the entire body up(though its very light) and my budget is falling short.
I am not a mechanical student,so please help me with some ideas. How about using Y-shaped wheels, with chains around them. But would that work on sand and marble floor??? I need to be all terrain!!!!!!!! HELLLLLLLLLLLLPPP!!!!
our project topic is Robocar, it is basically an obstacle detecting car using micro controller AT89c51 the transmitter is led,and sensors used are TSOP1738. yesterday we had review and we were asked that if a glass comes as an obstacle then how will it sense?? can a glass be considered as an obstacle for our project or is it a limitation of our project..........
