CE Official Spectaclr Association [For Engineers Who Wear Glasses]

CEans,

I'm pleased to announce that we are forming an association for engineers who wear glasses. The only joining criteria is that you have to be the engineer who wears glasses.

Share you feelings, experiences, likes & dislikes about wearing glasses.

This association has been named "Spectaclr Association" because I believe folks who wear glasses are spectacular!

😁😁😁😁😁

    I do.

they are not much of a problem though, only when I play baddie it flungs out πŸ˜” and reflects light 😁 But without it, I am almost blind> Though I had defect at age of 17 I did not put them on till I started saying 'HI' to unknown people (I did it at library twice, even patted a guy --who turned out to be a stranger ). I guess I wont be able to do much without now! 😁

    Nice idea biggie!!

I started wearing glasses when I was 16..At first I didn't realize that it changed my appearance, it was only when I got to college and seniors called me "Oye chasmish" that I realized how much glasses had changed my appearance!!

The biggest problem I have is that I keep breaking/loosing them!! Many times I've kept them on the bed just for a second, and the next second - crack, there goes one more!!

Nice idea. Unique idea actually. I still have perfect 6/6 vision without glasses and therefore don't wear any. So I suppose I don't qualify for this sub group.

P.S. Does wearing Ray-Ban aviators count?

    I'm in!

Of course always break & lost, sometimes look for it for a long time before I remind that I'm actually wearing it, can't concetrate without it.

I had a Gucci 1889S, in beginining of my 6th semester, a 5 year old student(still a student) of my college, just snatched it from me and said he will return it in a few hours, I never saw it again. and my dad never allowed me to buy any after that, other than those cheap goggles.

I can still be part of this association though. πŸ˜€

I'm very short-sighted, I wear my glasses all the time. I have them reside on my beside table at night when I go to sleep and that's the first thing I put on when I wake.

My fear is that if anyone ever fights with me, they'll break my glasses. I'm usually very passive, but I'd get aggressive if anything were to happen to my glasses :\

I am allergic to metal frames, so I opt for plastic frames, currently sporting an F c u k frame, and I have a red or dead spectacle as a spare. I prefer black frames, but my spare is brown.

Hmm.. what else? I sometimes wear lenses when I need to look less of a geeky grandmother. I wear lenses when I train, go to the gym and for my jog in the morning. It makes it easier without having a jostling frame.

One thing I dislike about wearing glasses is when it rains, I really need wipers on my glasses :\ Oh and when I'm coming out from the shower and I put my glasses on it becomes steamy so I'm blind either way.

Apart from that.. glasses + engineers = super combo 😁

And Durga, lol. I've done that too (washed my faces whilst my glasses were on)

    I wear everytime.

I will take them off when i sleep and put on when i wake up.

When I was 17 I was suffering from severe head ache consulted a Eye - Specialist and from that day i wear glasses.

I have a spare too!! which I carry for sure when I go for any long trips.

Ok, I got carried away by the optician telling me I need spare. I still prefer my old ones which are black rectangular frames. the new ones, that optician did not fit in proper lens. They just rot though frame is good. they get dirty every now and then. and I am too lazy to wipe them clean.

Thats true , some new ideas to implement this is required πŸ˜€

I too have the same problem , If i wear glasses and drive in rain i cant drive properly. If I remove them and drive I am gone!!!

I know what you mean!! When I was in pune, this was a big problem during the rains. It became more of a problem while driving a bike!!

I wonder if there are glasses that come with wipers, or have a teflon non stick coating at least!! That would make life easier!!

Also, while coming out of an air conditioned room into a humid atmosphere, your glasses get fogged!!

I'm short sighted like some of you guys. Used to have good vision when I was younger (and used to boast to other kids about it), but extended hours starting into TV and computer screen deteriorated my sight πŸ˜›

I sometimes put monthly contacts on when when I play basketball. Its too dangerous to play with glasses! Used to wear them to go to classes, but became too lazy after, haha. Quite time consuming to clean the contacts especially in a college dorm environment. Clean sinks are not really accessible.

Yeah, the fogging issue is a big annoyance. Also, I don't have a spare. So if I forgot where I placed it, its a treasure hunt for me.

There was one time when I was out with my ex in a mall. She went off to do her manicure (or whatever beauty thingy girls do) at a shop and I went to the toilet. I hanged my specs on my shirt, but it was not secured.. so yeah, it sorta dropped down in the bowl. Don't ask how I got it out, but I did spend 30 mins "disinfecting" it with soap. Met up with my ex again and continued on as if nothing had happened. Seriously NOT a good experience πŸ˜‰

Guys, you should seriously start taking care of your eyes. So many people with weak eyesight.....it is not good. I mean, some of you got specs at such young ages. Good health is very important. A healthy mind in a healthy body is a winning combination.

I can't handle lens.. they need to be cleaned every now and then, and be extremely careful, which I am not.πŸ˜” My specs do fly off when I play. luckily no one stamp them , I play baddie in basketball courts, so ob, the lights are hung down the roof and it makes it all most impossible for me to see the shuttle.

you could have bought new pair rather than goign through all the struggle😁 and above all you put them on !
By the way , I saw guys getting manicured as well πŸ˜›

    Thats true, but:
    1. would take a few hours to make and require explanation to my ex
    2. use up the money meant to treat her out πŸ˜‰

    Hii friends...!

Me too an engineer wearing glasses...But just from 5 months......
Before getting spets,, I like them very much....Its looks cool and well....And I wants to wear them....
    But now I hate them..
As i am a elergetic person, the frame caused irritation and my face becomes dull....and my eyes goes deep...and totally my face look changed....And I took so much care...So, now my face is somepart better....
Without my glasses I cant able to identify the people at a distance of 8 feet from me..I dont like it....
And I dont like to wear lens because...They are sensitive and we have to protect them very carefully..
I always asks God to clean my eyes ..........Now I am taking so much care to avoid incresing my sight by eating leafy vegetables and carrots etc.........

I think this association is for the engineers who like to wear glasses .....And i guess i am not eligible for this association...

    Am i right?????

WINNERS DONT DO DIFFERENT THINGS...THEY DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY....

I started wearing the specs when I was in class 11th. We had a mandatory medical checkup in the school and I thought it would be cool to feign that I couldn't see the letters on the chart (don't shoot up your brows, call it hormones LOL).

    It turned out I actually couldn't 😁

Anyway, I've been wearing them ever since. I think they make me look hyper studious (which I'm not), but I like wearing specs. I'm very meticulous about where I keep my things so forgetting them isn't really a problem.

@ash: nice experience at the mall btw 😁

@biggie: You should be given an award or something to come up with the most original associations πŸ˜€
