rank 16(A+B+C) in CCAT(July) 2013.
So I guess I will get DAC at Pune ACTS and DESD at Hyderabad.
I am an Electrical Engineer and already have a job in hand at Cognizant.
I am interested more in computers and in Embedded Systems than in Electrical.
Should I join DAC or DESD? or should I go for Cognizant?

First choice shuld normally be of cdac centres more than afflaited (in affliated i heard sunbeam is verygood ) 😀

Hello guys please help me actually i got my cdac result it was not so good actually i didnt gave my best to clear the exam with best score.My rank is A+B (wimc) =2618 i am really very interested in doing this course because i have previously worked working on mobile platform so as a fresher i wand to have a good startup so please help me what cdac centre i can get and what are the choices that i could fill please help

CDAC is a well known organization in India for trainings and placements. The bigger question every CDAC applicant is facing these days is which CDAC center to choose and how's the placement records. Let's help each other by listing down individual CDAC centers in Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and other cities which are well known for placements and then track them individually according to preference and how's the overall placement in them in this year 2013.

hey..i have applied for DAC course for feb 14 batch..n i got C- DAC noida after counseling...
my (A+B) rank is1673...n i have given 3 choices at the time of counseling
1-bengaluru
2-pune
3-noida
so is there any chance to get bengaluru or pune in other rounds of counseling with this rank..???
few things i heard about noida that
1-the placement is not so good in noida(40-50%) for DAC course
2-company with non throughout criteria rarely visits the campus
is this true..??
i m asking it bcz i m a non throughout student..i dont have 60% in graduation..will this create the problem at the time of placement...??
but i did MCA in pg with 65%.
please plzzzz suggest me..should i take admission in noida??

I am BITS Pilani Graduate with CGPA 8.0. I have applied for MS in US for Electronics and Computer Engineering specializing in System Software this Fall. I am hopeful but not sure whether I would get an admit. I am currently working in CA Technologies with a pretty good pay (>9lpa).
I am really keen on system software rather than pure software, hence this switch of field. I had written CCAT for the sake of PG -DSSD and I got rank 6. However I didn't apply for any seats yet, so not allocated(plan to do it in the second counselling). If I get the seat in CDAC Bangalore(only applying for that) I would have to leave my job. And If I don't get MS admit, after completing CDAC what would be my condition(as I heard placements for DSSD are meek)
I really need to go to Bangalore too for personal reasons, I am in Hyderabad Now. If anyone was patient enough to read through this junk. Please guide me as what I should do? I would be very grateful.

I would not consider as junk , its your prob. and everyone got one. its good to discuss here..
You having very good scores and also a good job(paying nice... 😉). you have not mentioned your work type or role, but i assume, as you wanted to change, you're not happy with it..
its good that you have courage to leave current job, want to pursue your sole interest.
Going to u.s for further studies (m.s.. ) is quite good option for system software because, there the infrastructure is far more good and also the need of system engineer is also there considering the research they are undertake( secret researches for military also.. ) and developed field there ..
However, c-dac is, i would say very reputed institute for studies for Electronics, Vlsi, Embedded and system software. and you've got quite rank for which you can opt for your choicest center for confirm admission. Considering the fact that you didn't applied till.. 😀mad:😡😲😲😡 ),In second round counseling, as per rule, allocation will be done as per the availability of seats at particular center. And the placement is centralized, so no worries for placement if you get score high. Yes if you compare the placement of DSSD to DAC or DESD, it may low but not None.
I would suggest that first think calmely and decide in your mind , where you wanted to go...
In india , c-dac is very good choice, so with the experience and degree you having you got very bright placement chances OR in u.s for m.s......

Dont know much about karad center. but to choose between them, gultekdi is good...
