Anyone here who along with me, got Sunbeam DAC in first round and expecting CDAC Bangalore-DAC in the 2nd round? Rank bracket between 550-850 approx. for DAC.

around rank 560 people got blore cdac in first round for dac..so what's your exact rank??

I am telling this formal thing's gonna be a bitch. I've started to feel akward now itself. I just have a single pair of formal dress reserved for interviews. And that tie, OMG! I am feeling butterflies in my stomach already.

does anybody know about C-DAC NOIDA?i got seat in this for ITISS course.what are the % of placement for this course and what are my chances to get placed after completing the course?

i too got cdac noida but for DESD and as per my view the noida centre is not that much reputed as pune/hyd/bang but from this time ccpp is held also in noida and my frnd told that companies r coming but for mba so this time may be for pg courses companies might come but shortage of faculty so i too getting mix reviews for noida ya but thats for sure noida is better in comparison to kolkata/mohali/trivendram/chennai as academic courses and stiudent r more in noida so there r few changes but students in present batch there r telling its nice to opt for pune/bang/hyd !!! so waiting for 2/3 round so best of luck!!!!

you can do it either way u like...they will send a confirmation letter..attach the DD with it...ie wat CDAC people told me when i called them for the same question

Would anybody else like to share their opinion on this? Iam not sure but think that we need to deposit 2nd installment in person only. This is the first time they are keeping such big gap b/w payment of fee and commencement of course. Previously it was like 21 Aug 2012 as last date of fee payment and 22 Aug as course commencement date.

Would anybody else like to share their opinion on this? Iam not sure but think that we need to deposit 2nd installment in person only. This is the first time they are keeping such big gap b/w payment of fee and commencement of course. Previously it was like 21 Aug 2012 as last date of fee payment and 22 Aug as course commencement date.

This is still a confusion for many as CDAC prospectus states that :

my cdac rank is 525, pgdac rank is 486 and i have moved from cdac bang to cdac pune.
cdac pune is my 1st choice.😉 and for u 👍 for next round.

Got an unexpected change after 2nd round....
My Preferences was.
1. DAC Pune
2. DAC Bangluru
3. DAC Sunbeam Pune (Gultekdi)
4. DAC Sunbeam Karad (After 2nd Round)
5. DAC IACSD Pune
6. DAC VITA Mumbai (After 1st Round)

MY DAC Rank is 2899....
I don't know how i got this center with this much low rank.

my preferences 1). Cdac Pune 2). Cdac Bang 3). Sunbeam gultekdi..

Candidates who have NOT got there 1st peference or higher preference than what they have got till now need NOT be disappointed.
The actual no. of withdrawals will happen NOW, till 30 Jan. Candidates do not withdraw their admission prior to 2nd list of counselling due to no loss of money. A No. of Candidates may withdraw their admission at this point because this is the last stage where there's 90% refund of money. Upgradations do take place in 3rd round.

So candidates, all the best and hope for the best on 6th Feb 2013. 👍

This happened because may be Sunbeam Karad is not that good. IACSD is better than it but as you filled Sunbeam Karad before IACSD, you got that. Top 3 choices filled by you are already top centers, so no chance of getting them at this rank.

This happened because may be Sunbeam Karad is not that good. IACSD is better than it but as you filled Sunbeam Karad before IACSD, you got that. Top 3 choices filled by you are already top centers, so no chance of getting them at this rank.

i assure u buddy sunbeam is better than iacsd anyday...
the only problem is that karad is a remote area...
also hostel fess are just 12000rs for the whole 6months ...
u save a lot actually

Thanks for sharing your views buddy. That is why I wrote "may be Sunbeam Karad is not that good".
As far as I know for DAC, Sunbeam Gultekdi comes 1st among affiliated centers. IACSD is also good but haven't heard any reviews on Sunbeam Karad.

It is not possible to get C-dac DAC pune for 2805 Rank bcz its first Preference of All even after withdrawals.If you withdraw after 2nd round counselling befor 30th of this month nothing will happen ,Your allotment to CDAC will be cancelled and 1000 /-will be deducted from the amount 10,000 you paid and you will be given 9000 back.For that You need to fill and send withdrawal form before their specified date i.e 31 of this month.

I heard from a reliable source that Only sunbeam Group organize Campus Placement other than CCPP (CDAC Centralized Placement)....
IACSD is Sunbeam Karad is almost same.

That 'somebody' is totally wrong. DAC from Pune is the best you can get from CDAC. Placement is generally above 85%. Though I wouldn't categorize placement as number of students who got placed, but number of companies that visited CDAC for placement. Getting you placed is not their job, inviting the company is.

Don't worry. It doesn't work like that. Its not so straight procedure to get your refund processed.

The CCPP is regional I guess. One organized by Pune(for ACTS & other affiliated centres of pune & nearby), one by Bangalore etc. So I guess no, if you're from Bangalore, you can participate only in the CCPP of Bangalore.

Not 100% sure about this though.

The CCPP is regional I guess. One organized by Pune(for ACTS & other affiliated centres of pune & nearby), one by Bangalore etc. So I guess no, if you're from Bangalore, you can participate only in the CCPP of Bangalore.

Not 100% sure about this though.

Pune gets Companies with high Packages.If CCPP placements are regional then other center students may miss the High package companies.Mee too not 100% sure but,I thought CCpp is not Regional bcz ,In some C-DAC affliated centers websites it is given as " centralized National level Common Campus Placement Programme (CCPP)". here the word national level made me Confused.

i don't think so dude ,because 650-660 rank guys got cdac blore in 2nd round..so you can see there is still a gap of approx 500 as per your rank..

Not to upset You..but i dont think you will get cdac banglore but dont loose hope,any thing can happen,If more ppl withdraw.You should have kept sunbeam or IACSD over Hyderabad.Anyway Past is Past.Just hope for the best.

Yes Sunbeam gultekdi is better and best than CDAC hyderabd for DAC.but you cant get it now bcz you kept it in lower priority than Hyderabad.

Dont worry,i think Placements are good for DSSD at banglore.You can search for previous students experiences. Go to Google and type "cdac dssd banglore banglore job seeker" and search.Click the first link ,there a previous student have given about his experience and and some info regarding placemnts..Hope it will be usefull for you.

Though CDAC Hydbd is main Center,it is not good for DAC.It is best only for DESD & DSSD .Concentration on DAC placements is less compared to other courses.Bcz hyderabad have more core campanies than s/w.Even if you get placed ,the package will be worst.Even being affliated center IACSD pune can get you more Decent job than Cdac hydbd.Moreover bcz of local issues s/w companies are moving to other states.Though there are big MNC's still here,but they wont come for Hydbd CDAC.For your satisfaction you can check their preivious placed students list.

it's all upto you..there is all parallel programming and system programming in dssd so if you have basics they'll teach you the rest..

You will not have to send dd to them.. It's a hostel not college.. Cash will b fine.. N moreover u don hve to go there.. Speak to them on phone.. But for your satisfaction u can go n visit hostel once before booking.. 😀

it is true but noida walo ka koi bharosa nai hy!!! usksa aur pune acts ka 36 ka akada hy one of my frnd is presently in noida and noida was calling some comapnies but PUNE ACTS WALO NE APNE TANGE ADA K BOLA USKE PERMISSION K BAGAR KOI COMPANY NAI BULA SAKTA so they r in a state of cold war and its TRUE!!!! Now you dont have the option of selecting previous option. You have to go with the current institute only. Read admission booklet carefully.

That's how it works. If you're alloted your higher preference then you cannot go back to lower preference.
Its not like you got a choice between IET and cdac chennai. You either have cdac chennai or none with respect to current scenario.
I've no idea about the Cdac Chennai. However, as per my thoughts, doing dac in pune or bangalore is more beneficial due to enormous amount of IT companies present. This is strictly my opinion. Make your own decision. Dont blame me after you blindly follow my suggestion and get into something unexpected.

if that is so why did ya opt for cdac pune buddy u could have taken up any other freakin centre in india

bt yr noida bhi to C-DAC ka hi center hai yr....wt type of nonsense activity is this....noida ka schedule bata sakte ho bhai....suna hai 16 hr classes chalti hai aur formals pahan ke jana hota hai

its not like dat .. classes are from 9-5 or may be till 6 pm.. and not compulsory to be in formals but u have to be in formals during placments..😀

is it first come first serve or based on the rank of a candidate hostels are allotted?

Because the only good centre (amoungst 3) where VLSI is present is Pune and I was getting it? Convincing enough? Why I wouldnt take the best one it if I am getting it? That question didnt really made sense buddy. You're given a gold ball and iron ball, and you're questioning my decision to take the gold ball. Isnt the choice obvious enough?

C'mon people. Everyone here is trying to help each other. No one is getting any kinda profit or something by advicing on any matter. Everyone's opinion is different in certain aspects. So, definitely we need to listen everyone and atlast do what we feel like. No point of getting personal/pointing out each other offensively. Every thing is Interdependent. Placements=Learning New things=Good Center of CDAC=="YOU/WE". a=b, b=c,c=a --->a=b=c ...So Nothing wrong in concerning about only placements....(In my opinion)😀

You will not have to send dd to them.. It's a hostel not college.. Cash will b fine.. N moreover u don hve to go there.. Speak to them on phone.. But for your satisfaction u can go n visit hostel once before booking.. 😀

No worries mate.

And there isnt any in cdac pune. You've to find Pg or something. However, I guess those cdac guys gives certain references for nearby accomodation . However I also heard that they wouldnt give until Feb 10 since previous batch is still on going and the pg's will be already occupied.

5) cdac b'lore DASS..
and the list continues..
after 1st counselling i got DASS and in 2nd counselling i got cdac b'lore..

so hopefully if u ask me you have a good chance in 3rd round..

it's a placement activity conducted by C-DAC itself,only after attending this event u are able to get placed. read admission booklet.

IACSD also takes part in CCPP. Apart from that, I dont know if it calls for companies exclusively for itself apart from CCPP like ACTS does. Logically it should but I dont have any official info.

i got seat in DAC at vimarashana Marathahalli, benguluru in first round and unchanged for second round. As it is a affiliated training center will it be best one for taking admission. And what about the placements at this center?
i'm in confusion about allotted Center please help me.....

ya as my rank is 580 in DESD and my interest is only in DESD i will remain till last if not not getting bang/hyd then also i had made up my mind with noida as last option as there is no other chance for me!!i also know that noida is not good but my brother is in banglore and one cousin in noida and he tols that centre is only good because it is the 2nd largest centre after pune but mind u that banglore is somewat like noida only it has + point is it hub and it is 2nd largest after pune but placements do come but only for toppers in cdac in bang is placed and that to is 4/6 students in DESD because apart from teaching placemnts come more in hyd than bang and \most people opt for bang u only suggest wat to do if not cdac then????pls suggest me good companies other than vector/emertxe/oasis....

Hyderabad doesn't seem to be possible with that rank, however, do you've Pune in your list? Pune got 120 seats and last time someone with 430+ rank got it in 3rd round, so if you've that in your list, you might get lucky.

Nopes. Its just one time submission. Now, you're just required to pay the rest of the fees (if you plan to join the allocated center) before 15th Feb. Paying the token once makes you eligible for all the 3 rounds.

Yes, this might be the reason. Iam skeptical about this thing from very beginning that may be less no. of candidates appeared in Dec C-CAT.

Iam not sure how will this factor affect the placements. But looks like, it will.

There's next to no information regarding this on the net. I remember someone on CE went to Noida to get the information. I can't remember who was that. Anyways, your best bet is to find someone from Noida CDAC (facebook groups or similar could help) and interact with them directly. They are the one who can tell the exact scenario.
