When you compare the latest version, i.e., version 2.0.x, with the version 1.x.x, there are significant changes in maximum burst rate for continuous shooting and maximum limit for ISO Auto. The maximum burst rate has increased from 126 for JPEG Large/Fine to 130 and from 15 for RAW images to 25. The maximum ISO limit that a user can set has increased from 3200 to 6400. Manual audio level adjustment has been introduced in this version and it is set at 64 levels.

With faster scrolling of magnified images, quick control during playback, in-camera RAW image processing, JPEG image resizing and ratings, plus customization of file names and time zone settings, this firmware update looks significant. Read more about it at Canon’s official #-Link-Snipped-#.
