Blueair Launches Comprehensive Technology To Analyse And Purify The Air We Breathe

The Swedish Clean Air Technology company, Blueair has taken a leap into the lucrative Indian market with their flagship products, namely the Blueair Sense+ air purifier and the Blueair Aware indoor air quality monitor. Although the company is running its business in India from last year, the two newest products are expected to perform significantly better in terms of both quality and commercial viability. This Valentine’s Day, the CEO of Blueair Bengt Rittri reportedly announced a global war against polluted air and its associated adversities on planet Earth. Supporting his vision, he paid a visit to India and participated in the company’s promotional campaign.

Recently, researchers from the World health organization have put forward startling statistics highlighting the sudden increment of mortality rates in China and India due to the highly polluted air borne particles. The findings were published at the 2016 annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Rittri explained that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, EPA had previously confirmed that indoor air can be hundred times more polluted than outdoor air. With the help of technically upgraded high-end smart air purifiers, people would be able to take a ‘smart’ measure against numerous air borne diseases.

To counter the worst effects of polluted air, the company presented a novel solution named “home defense system”, which consists of a Blueair Sense+ air purifier and a Blueair Aware indoor air quality monitor. The Blueair team stated that the Blueair Aware showcased a very simple horizontal display that will glow blue if the air is pure and glow orange in the presence of polluting materials

Boasting of the new HEPASilent technology, which is a combination of electrostatic and mechanical filtration, the Sense+ cleans the air in a 200-square foot room once every 12 minutes (five times an hour).

Although the product comes with a pretty high price tag, it is almost certainly a step in the right direction. With air pollution increasing at an alarming rate, we may soon have to become dependent on such technology in a bid to counter the toxic air we breathe.
