Blackberry Sets Up Servers In India
Research In Motion aka RIM - the Canadian company behind the first lineup of smartphones has has given up to the Indian Government's demands. The company has finally agreed to setup servers in India. RIM earlier had offered the Indian Government officials the technical preview of the technology & codes it uses for the corporate email servers. But Indian Government insisted that RIM should setup servers in India so that it can inspect them whenever necessary and the servers will now be governed by Indian laws.
The DoT (Department Of Telecom) has already inspected the server setup and has approved it. The DoT will now work with the telecom operators in India and will have access to all the corporate email accounts that use Blackberry Email Service.
