Check them out:

1. Operating System concepts – Silberchatz & Galvin, Addison Wesley, 6th Edn.

2. Modern Operating Systems – Tanenbaum, Pearson Edn. 2nd edn.

3. Operating System –Milan Milenkovik

4. Operating Systems, 3rd Edition by Gary Nutt, Pearson Education

Please suggest other best books for OS.

    Operating subject is looks very theoretical unless one know about how it is implementing...
    So far Galvin is a good book beginners and try out theories on machine and look how it works.
