Assorted Resistor and Capacitor

Anyone could suggest which resistor and capacitor value that used most in home-brew project? Those project basically deal with LED and PIC. I want to buy them in bulk, but I do not know how to assort them. I wish to buy like 50 resistors and 50 capacitors. Looking forward for your help.😉

    Everything depends on the values of the LEDs and PICs you use. I think you have to give more parameters. But hey, who am i to say all this, I am not an electronics engineer! Still, from what I know, you have to put in more data.

    I want to buy those assorted resistor and cap for breadboarding project. I don't know what project would be next. So, I just want to know which value is most commonly used, so I can buy in bulk to save cost.

    Well, as already told, it depends on the project.

    But what I do know is that, you wont be needing very high value resistors of the order of mega Ohms very much.
    So, one or two of them in such high resistance will suffice..

    As to the low and mid value resistors, aka kiloOhms and Ohms, well, you can't say. I think you can get a box of resistors which will contain all the commonly used values.. There will be some 5 or 6 pieces of each value..
    If you want more of a particular value, you can always combine resistors of other values in series or parallel, and get to the value you want. So, it really shouldn't be a problem..
