CarPlay will integrate your iPhone with your car, because of which operating the cell phone while driving will be easier by using voice commands or the controls on car. Vehicles from Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo will be the first ones to bring CarPlay feature followed by other car manufacturers including BMW Group, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai Motor Company, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia Motors, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan Motor Company, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota Motor Corp.

These cars will have a voice control button on the steering wheel to activate Siri to control CarPlay. After you have connected your iPhone to your car, you can make and receive voice calls, messages, review traffic conditions and can perform many other tasks with the help of Siri with minimized distraction. Apple maps will be providing turn-by-turn navigation and show the map on car’s built-in display. You can also listen to music, podcasts, audiobooks, etc. through car’s speakers by simply giving comands to Siri.

I love to use car play for following things:
    *music
    *maps
    *radio

but never for calls while driving.I hate this idea of call feature while on wheels.
