Alcatel's OneTouch POP Astro Is Its Most Affordable LTE Smartphone Yet

Alcatel One Touch is known for offering high quality and low-cost products to T-Mobile customers. This time, they have teamed up with the American cellular service provider to take the wraps off their high quality and most affordable smartphone - POP Astro. Following the introduction of Fierce 2 and Evolve 2 smartphones to T-Mobile customers few months back, POP Astro is launched at a price that is about one-fifth the price of the rival tech-giants’ smartphones these days. As the market has entered into the fourth generation, this new flagship from both the companies will offer LTE speed to its customers with HD voice calling facility as well as Wi-Fi connectivity.

Sporting a 4.5 inch qHD screen, POP Astro's TFT display offers resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The handset is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek (MTK6732) processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS. It also features a decent quality 5 MP rear camera and a front VGA fixed-focus camera. For storage, the smartphone packs 1GB RAM, and 4 GB built-in storage (expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card). With 2000 mAh battery, POP Astro provides talk time up to 8 hours.
