A peep into 2030 by LOCKHEED MARTIN

Lockheed Martin(L.M), world's leading fighter aircraft manufacturer, that has given the world likes of F-35s , has something new to work. The company's new-year calender has an aircraft never seen before. The concept has not been named and no more information about the aircraft has been provided, other than its image in the company's calender of 2012. The aircraft has a nose like F-22, unusually contoured wings and almost flat- tail planes. This marks the view of L.M into 6th Generation Fighters. Similar such image of a tailless fighter with a conventional wing,by Boeing was released. But, the company rejects any plans in the development of 6th Generation Fighters. 6th Gen. Fighters would need greatly increased speed, much more range, and some new features like multi-layered stealth. This can be achieved only by breakthrough inventions and discoveries in the field of aerodynamics, materials, propulsion, avionics etc. Also, the funding needed for such breakthrough research has not been planned yet. So, it seems we will have to wait for more 20-30 years for the look of 6th Gen. Fighters, only till 2030. Lets hope for the best.
