If you're a frequent flyer then there are high chances that at least one of your flights so far got delayed because of the bird strike or the bird menace at the airport. Birds striking the engines of aircraft can be dangerous and the situation needs to be avoided at any cost. To address this problem, South Korean Atomic Energy Group and LIG Nex1 have developed world's first 6 wheeled UGV (unmanned ground vehicle) equipped with electronics to produce a combination of acoustic and laser patterns that scare the birds away.

This bird strike defence robot is semi-automatic. It requires manual operation from a base control station. The robot can navigate on its own to the predefined destination and even avoid obstacles. Even in the absence of manual control, the robot won't cause accidents. The robot is approximately 8 ft long and weighs ~1.2 tons.
The robot is being rolled out at different airports and is ready to scare birds all over the world.
