40" SONY BRAVIA LCD/LED VS. Samsung Vs. Panasonic Vs. LG

Can you all help in choosing the best 40" LED/LCD from the popular brands? The LEDs are priced higher than LCDs and I've found them to be brighter than then LCDs.

In terms of connectivity; I think all of them have standard HDMI inputs and component. Bravia's got internet widgets which I'm not interested in (seriously, do we need apps for TV? 😛 )

What would be your recommendation?
