#-Link-Snipped-# - Kickstarter Project- Mobile charger that elminates Vampire Energy Loss.

Welcome to CE, @#-Link-Snipped-# . I had heard about the vampire energy loss; but never really thought about ways to fix the problem. Good to see that you're working on solving that problem. Could you give us an estimate of the magnitude of power loss that happens when the chargers are left unplugged?

Hi Kaustubh - We have seen 2.5W chargers for popular cell phones waste 1W while not charging anything. Most of the energy (around 70-80%) used by the charger is wasted due to vampire energy loss. We have a bunch of literature on our Kickstarter page, take a look at the IR image at the bottom. This image really illustrates the problem well as the wasted energy is dissipated as heat. #-Link-Snipped-#
