I learned about the AMP email. I wish to know if AMP email requires a specialised software to send emails or can it be sent via any email client? For example, can I send an AMP email using an email client for Gmail or Outlook?

AMP for Email is a subset of AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) that allows senders to include dynamic content inside emails, making the content more interactive. This can include forms, carousels, and up-to-date information pulled from websites in real-time.
To answer the question, you cannot send email with any email client. Your email client needs to support ability to compose AMP email. Then you'll need a compatible service to send the email.
