The Chinese mobile manufacturing company, ZTE has officially launched the Grand S II in India. The company has joined hands with Amazon to launch its product in the Indian market. As of now, the phone is available exclusively on Amazon.in. The mid-end smartphone was first introduced by the company at the CES earlier in January this year and is priced at Rs. 13,999. Although, ZTE has not made it big in the Indian market but it hopes to make a mark with this new smartphone.

Going into the specification details, the successor to the Grand S features 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display and is powered by a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor. The device runs on Android 4.2 JellyBean with ZTE's Mifavor UI running on top and motion control gestures. The dual-SIM phone packs 2,500mAh battery and comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal ROM and microSD card support (up to 32GB). On the camera front, the smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 5-megapixel front camera. The phone supports CDMA, GSM, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB. Further, the company claims to have approximately 300 service centres across the country and plans to expand to 600 outlets.

Looking at the price, one would say that the phone will compete with the likes of Moto G and Asus ZenFone 5 but we imagine why ZTE is launching a smartphone with an older Android version in India.
