Polaris 9400 Sport, with a price tag of $1499, is the most advanced robot manufactured by Zodiac till date. The robot features ActivMotion Sensor intelligence technology which helps to optimize the cleaning process.  The ActivMotion Sensor uses an accelerometer which senses cleaner’s position. It can recognize the depth, shallowness etc. of the pool and adapt to the environment. The technology also helps to reduce the tangling of the cord and makes the cleaning almost 20 percent faster than current cleaners. According to Kevin Braidic, director of product development at Zodiac, “Pre-programmed cleaning cycles allow consumers to choose between floor-only cleaning or floor, wall and waterline cleaning, a necessary chore that many pool owners just don't want to do manually. And when out of the water, it shuts itself down, making it very safe”. The model also features 4-wheel drive technology to provide better cleaning over steps and obstacles, a cable long enough to clear 50 foot long pool and programmable cleaning time choices.

Polaris 9100 Sport is an economical pool cleaner robot with a price tag of $799. This model is suitable for a 40 foot long pool and has a 2 hour cleaning cycle. It is light weighted and quite efficient in cleaning pools and coves. Both models share Vortex Vacuum technology which is used to maximize vacuum power without losing suction. If you are in U.S. and planning to buy the robot before September 1, 2012, you can get $150 rebate on Polaris 9400 Sport and a $50 rebate on Polaris 9100 Sport.
