YikeBike - The Folding Electric Bike To Drill Hole In Your Pocket

YikeBike is one of the best portable electric bikes you can find in the market. The Christchurch company which makes YikeBike won the Dell Innovative Hi-Tech Hardware Product award at New Zealand recently. The design and build quality of this bike will definitely appeal to lazy environment lovers who are ready to shell out #-Link-Snipped-#. The company has recently launched the 'Fusion' model of the bike which is priced at $1995 in the US.

YikeBike comes into two versions: Carbon aka the high-end one and the Fusion aka the low-end bike. Peter Higgins, CTO of YikeBike Limited company said that the Fusion model will be the standard model for the distributors and the Carbon version will be sold online through company's official website. The Fusion model is bit heavier than the Carbon model, but lighter on pockets. The primary difference between these two versions is in the material used for structural parts. Fusion uses alloy and reinforced polymer composite while Carbon uses carbon fiber for the body. Both models look similar in looks while Fusion being 3kg heavier than Carbon. YikeBike had to come up with a new model because there was a growing interest in the ultra-portable electric bikes, but price was a big obstacle in sales.
