With Fascino, we have a powerful scooter with an air-cooled 113cc 4-stroke single cylinder engine at its core. With 21 litres of storage space (which is huge that can hold a full-face helmet) and an extra-cushioned seat, this two-wheeler boasts of an optimized ignition timing combined with better combustion efficiency of the new nickel spark plug.
As for the looks, in the bright blue color model, the first ones to catch your eye are the stylishly shaped rear-view mirrors, the head lamp and chrome plated front grille. We believe the stylish meter console stands out as well. The rear end is a mix of chrome and glass and stands out with the 3D logo highlighting the ride's name. Let's take a detailed look at the Fascino specifications.
Fascino comes with the usual electric and kick start. On the engine front, there's force-feed lubrication, wet sump. There's the usual capacitor dishcharge (CDI) ignition too. The headlight is a 12V halogen bulb. This scooter is being called the lightest of all Yamaha scooters as it weighs just 103 kg. This has been achieved by integrating plastic-resin parts in the body and employing weight reducing design techniques. If you notice a peculiar thing about the Fascino's seat, it's that it has a slight inward curve to give the riders a comfortable leg reach for both the rider and the pillion. The footboard on Fascino is 380mm in width and 220mm in length.
The scooter is being offered in 5 exciting color options - Sassy Cyan (as seen in picture above), Rouge Red, Cool Cobalt, Haute White and Tuxedo Black to suit every rider's tastes.
The Yamaha Fascino is priced in India at Rs. 52,500 (ex-Showroom Delhi). Do you think it can compete the likes of TVS and Honda that are already widely popular in India? Share your thoughts with us in comments below.
