Yahoo's IntoNow 3.0 App Brings TV & Music Sync, CapIt & Group Chat

Yahoo has unveiled an update to the IntoNow TV app. The 3.0 version of IntoNow has rebuilt to bring three new features. With the TV Sync feature, the content (like sports teams, songs, trivia or polls) is displayed to the users on the basis of what they're watching on the screen, whereas Music Sync is designed to identify a song (even background music) when it is playing during a show. You can also buy a song surfaced by Music Sync. It is just a click away from iTunes.

CapIt feature we believe is great for making Internet memes. You can take screenshots of any TV moments with a simple tap and an iOS exclusive app will deliver these still images for you to add a caption and share on Facebook or Twitter.

Last, but not the least is a Group Chat feature that lets you create private conversations with friends or form groups for a particular TV event. It can also set-up a recurring conversation to talk about favorite shows as the season progresses. Yahoo has made use of the patented SoundPrint technology to auto-identify content featured live or previously aired and a huge database is being create now by indexing more than 160 U.S. TV channels live. The app is available for free from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
