Xolo, the Indian handset manufacturer, is here with a new 7-inch tablet called the XOLO Play Tab 7.0 that runs the Android Jelly Bean operating system and offers an average yet adequate set of tech specs and features. Sporting a 7-inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and pixel density of 216 ppi, the Xolo Play Tab 7.0 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor accompanied by 1 GB of RAM. It was priced at Rs. 13,500. Seems like XOLO is determined to make its footprint felt in the Indian tablet market.

Coming back to the new XOLO Play Tab specs, we have a full-HD video playback capability and a 2 mega-pixel front facing camera for making video calls. Sadly, there's no rear end camera. Deriving power from a 4000mAh battery which delivers 8 hours of music playback, the Xolo Play Tab has 194.6 x 122.6 x 10.6 mm for dimension and weighs at around 338 grams. For connectivity, the Xolo Play Tab users can use bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Micro-USB. There is no SIM card facility and therefore no 3G. But, one remarkable feature for high-end gaming enthusiasts is the 12-core NVIDIA ULP GeForce graphics processing unit that comes built in the tablet.
