Though there's no official word about the launch, XOLO India has added a new Octa Core smartphone in its 8X series portfolio. Called the XOLO Play 8X 1020, the new Android smartphone features a 1.4GHz Octa core processor and a 5 inch IPS Display. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, the XOLO Play 8X 1020 features a good 2,500 mAh Li-ion battery, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB ROM, an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front video calling snapper. The news about the new XOLO smartphone leaking online appeared a couple of days back and the company still hasn't sent an official press release about it.

XOLO Play 8X 1020 is a Dual Sim (GSM + GSM) smartphone which is 3G, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi enabled. Coming with a 1 year manufacturer warranty, the new smartphone is only available in a single color option that is black.

Though we still don't have the official images of the phone on the company's website, the phone has been listed on e-commerce portal #-Link-Snipped-# with the above image. Priced at Rs. 9,999 in India, the new XOLO phone might be an eye-catcher for those looking for options in the octa-core domain. Though we do believe that the company could've offered a better RAM and an even more impressive display, we think that the chances of this phone competing with the likes of Intex Aqua i5 Octa Smartphone Available On Amazon India At Rs. 7,499 and Buy Xiaomi Redmi Note In India Soon - Here's What You Should Know aren't thin.

Even though XOLO has a really good fan following in India when compared to other Indian OEMs, the fact that Xiaomi Redmi Note has better 2 GB RAM, a bigger 3200 mAh battery and huge 64 GB micro SD card slot does make it stand apart.

    What do you people think?
