Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime Launched In India As An Amazon Exclusive
After MiPad, Mi Redmi 2, Mi 4 and Mi 4i, it's time for Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime's arrival in India. The smartphone is being sold exclusively via Amazon India for a price of Rs. 8499 starting today. On account of India launch, we decided to take you on a tour of the smartphone's top specifications. There's a lot that the phone gets right in terms of specs - for instance the 4G Dual SIM connectivity, the high-capacity battery or the 2 GB DDR3 RAM make up for some of the features that customers really look forward to in a budget phone. Let's take a look at some of the feature highlights.
Coming with a 5.5 inch HD IPS display, the Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime comes with a multi-touch screen having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The IPS panel comes with 178° viewing angle and a glass-film-film (GFF) architecture that help pixels in sitting closer to the glass for brighter display.
Running atop a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad-Core CPU and a Adreno 306 GPU, the Redmi Note Prime runs on the slightly old Android version 4.4 which is optimised with MIUI 7.
On the memory front, the smartphone brings 16 GB internal storage with support for 32 GB microSD card. There's a 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM on board.
The rear end features a 13 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, 28 mm wide-angle and f/2.2 aperture, whereas the front has a 5 megapixel snapper for capturing selfies. The rear camera supports 1080P HD video recording, while the front one supports 720P HD video recording.
A 3100 mAh lithium-ion polymer battery offers 14 hours of internet browsing, 775 hours on standby, 38 hours of talk time and about 60 hours of music playback.
On the network and connectivity options, you will find 4G-LTE, 3G and 3G support as well as Bluetooth 4.1, WLAN and GPS/AGPS.
A bunch of smart features are catered to with a Gyroscope, Wi-Fi direct functionality, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Dual-Microphones and USB on-the-go.
