If you recently visited the Mi India website, the Xiaomi brand would present you with an interesting word puzzle contest that lets you win a Priority Pass to get the all new Mi product that's currently prepping up for the India launch. Speculations suggest that the new product hitting the Indian shores could be none other than the Xiaomi Redmi 1S successor - Xiaomi Redmi 2. The Mi India's official word puzzle contest wants you to find at least three keywords and share that page on their Facebook timeline. That's not all. Provide your answers in the comment box below & tag any three friends. After that, it looks like a lucky draw where Xiaomi will randomly pick up winners. That said, before you go ahead and take part in the contest, we want you to take a look at the specifications list that accompanies a Xiaomi Redmi 2 mobile phone. So, here we go.

The Xiaomi Redmi 2 features a 4.7 inch screen with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, 312 PPI IPS display. Running on a the engine of a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor and Adreno 306 GPU, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 comes with two SIM card slots with 4G LTE support. The Cortex A53 processors is said to be 1.5 times faster than the Cortex A7 processor. On the memory side, the Redmi 2 packs 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM (expandable up to 32 GB via microSD). A decent 2200 mAh lithium polymer battery provides juice to the smartphone and as you can see from the image below, at 9.3 mm the phone looks pretty sleek.

Coming to the phone's rear end, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 specs speak of a 8 megapixel snapper, whereas on the front there's a 2 megapixel camera. Last but not the least, the Redmi 2 phone runs the Android 4.4 operating system-based MIUI 6.0 interface. Those who love vibrant colors can check the five different back covers that can be bought along with the Redmi 2 phone.

With that we come to the end of specifications for Xiaomi Redmi 2 smartphone. It was only in January last week that Xiaomi CEO, Mr. Lei Jun announced the upgrade to 2GB RAM. The general opinion before that was that the Redmi 2 is a good phone for the low asking price, but not the successor everyone was hoping for. While the phone is priced in China at 699 yuan (approximately Rs. 7000), we expect the phone to be reasonably priced in India. After the Chinese company recently discontinued Xiaomi Redmi 1S, it makes sense to launch another entry level phone.

The Mi India word contest ends on March 11, so we can expect the launch to take place in the next few weeks. Those looking for the three key features for the Mi word puzzle should try the words: 'Movies', 'Snapdragon', 'Matte', 'QuickCharge' and 'Expandable'. With that we sign off with the promise of bringing you the official Redmi 2 price in India as soon as the launch happens.

The specs looks promising I'm giving 4.5/5 for it , if they keep price around 7k then it will be strong contender for entry level segment & very strong competitor to Mogo E 2nd gene. wel let see at how much extend it stands👍
