larceny (n): Theft; robbery
The strict legal definition of larceny is theft without breaking in, or without the use of force. Grand larceny is major theft. To be larcenous is to be the sort of person who commits larceny.

layman (n): A nonprofessional; a person who is not a member of the clergy, or priesthood.
Laymen are known collectively as the laity.
A layman who preaches in a church is called a lay preacher.

leverage (n): Positional advantage; being able to exploit something to one's advantage.
