With Microsoft Lumia 535 The Nokia Brand Name Is Put To Rest
The Microsoft Lumia 535 sports a big 5-inch IPS panel display with a below average qHD (960 x 540 pixels) resolution screen which results in woefully low PPI figures, 220 ppi to be exact. These figures are way behind the recently launched Microsoft Mobile Launches Nokia Lumia 730 Dual-SIM & Lumia 735: Features, Specs & Price In India that has a 4.7inch OLED display with HD resolution and 316ppi. Underneath the hood Microsoft has stuck a dated Snapdragon 200 chipset with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor that runs the Lumia Denim update of Windows Phone 8.1 with the help of 1GB of RAM. This is a big improvement in the low-end Lumia line up which has been stuck with 512MB RAM equipped smartphones since eternity.
Microsoft has taken an unusual step when it comes to the cameras of the Microsoft Lumia 535. In the rear as well as the front you get the same resolution sensors. On the rear you have a 5 MP autofocus sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 28mm focal length and LED flash. On the front Microsoft continues its selfie obsession by sticking a 5MP wide angle lens first featured in the Lumia 730 and 735. The only disappointment in the photography department is that both the cameras cannot record HD resolution footage and have to make do with FWVGA (848 x 480) resolution videos.
The internal memory of the Microsoft Lumia 535 is of 8GB and you can add microSD cards of up 128GB and even backup stuff of up to 15GB on the OneDrive cloud storage. This Windows smartphone is powered by a user removable 1905mAh battery that is claimed by the company to last for 23 days on standby and offer 11 hours of talk time. The phone will debut in single and dual SIM variants starting in Asia-Pacific territories such as India and China this month and later spread globally. The phone is expected to be priced around 110.00 EUR (8,424.61 INR) which makes it good value for money.
